Getting a Lil’ Older

I recently had my birthday, and it really got me thinking about how fast life has gone by, and different changes that will soon be approaching.

Soon I will be out of the teen years, so technically, my blog will no longer be a “teen girl’s thoughts about her life”…

so, in a couple of years, I believe I’ll make a couple of new changes to blogging, by either changing up a couple the way this site looks or creating a new blog with a link to this blog so that new people can still read what I had written when I was a teenager.

To be honest, I’m kinda leaning towards the new blog idea, since this entire blog was built around my being a teenager…

But for now, we’ll just keep using what we have, which is this blog here…

As we get older, we begin to have a change in perspective.

I’ll explain what I mean…

I was talking with a friend recently about what it’s like to get older. We talked about how when we were kids we used to think that a certain age (we were talking about being 16…) was going to be waaaaay in the future. But all of a sudden we were both seventeen and then it only seemed like just a couple years ago I was still a rascal of a child…

(I still act like that sometimes… But definitely not as much as I did…)

I find myself realizing at least once a week that I’m almost an adult and about to leave school, and sometimes it can be a little frightening.

(okay, maybe not this much. 😉)

It’s such an interesting change of perspective, and it is one that is a little bit hard to describe sometimes, but I guess the point of this section is that we should treasure every moment we have. Especially, if we have younger siblings (or kids)…

One day they are going to be grown up and on their own, and it is during the youngest years that we can have the greatest amount of impact on the younger generation.

So make sure to treasure the moments.

For the last year, I’ve been working with my dad, which is great except for the part where I have to write a manual about everything I’ve learned over the past year.

In it of itself it isn’t a bad thing, it just takes a really long time to complete a really small portion.

But my dad set the goal for the beginning of June, so we’ll see if I can actually get it done by then. 😋

Until then, however, we’ll see how it goes. 🙂

For now, that is pretty much all that I have to update you on, but I should be writing a new post soon on a fun little project that I was able to do with my siblings. ♥♥

So until the next post,
Aubrey ♥♥
